Punjab scholarship: Punjab Scholarship Schemes are designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students for higher studies. Punjab Scholarships for 2023-23

The PUNJAB SCHOLARSHIP 2023 is sponsored by the central and state government of Punjab. There are Pre- matric scholarships, post-matric, and higher education as well. To apply for the scholarship visit the Punjab state government scholarship official website – https://punjabscholarships.gov.in/.

Punjab Scholarship Eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria for pre-matric scholarships 

• Pre-matric scholarship for SC students

1. The scholarship is available for students of standard 9th and 10th
2. Their annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakh
3. If the student receives other centrally-funded scholarships, they are not eligible to apply for this scholarship
4. The student must possess an Aadhar card

• Pre-matric scholarship for OBC students

1. The scholarship is available for students of standard 1st  to 10th 
2. Their annual family income should not be more than 50 thousand

• Pre-matric scholarship for students belonging to minority category 

1. The scholarship is available for students belonging to minority communities, ie. Sikhs, Muslims, Parsis, Jains, Christians, and Buddhists
2. The scholarship is available for students of standard 1st to 10th 
3. To qualify for the scholarship the student must have at least 50% marks in their last examination
4. Their annual family income should not be more than 1 lakh

Eligibility criteria for post-matric scholarships 

• Post-matric scholarship for SC 

1. The scholarship is available for students of standard 11th and 12th
2. Their annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakh
3. If the student receives other centrally-funded scholarships, they are not eligible to apply for this scholarship
4. The student must have a minimum of 75% of marks in higher secondary.

• Post-matric scholarship for OBC 

1. The scholarship is available for students of standard 11th to post-doctoral level
2. Their annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakh

• Pre-matric scholarship for students belonging to minority category 

1. The scholarship is available for students belonging to minority communities, ie. Sikhs, Muslims, Parsis, Jains, Christians, and Buddhists
2. The scholarship is available for students of standard 11th to post-doctoral level
3. To qualify for the scholarship the student must have at least 50% marks in their last examination

Other scholarships eligibility criteria

National means-cum-merit scholarship (NMMS)

1. The scholarship is available for students whose annual  family income is not more than 1.5 lakhs
2. The scholarship is available for students who are studying in standard 8th
3. To avail this scholarship the student has to qualify the NMMS exam

Encouragement award to SC girls

1. This scholarship is available to female students belonging to the SC category.
2. This scholarship is available for SC girls whose parents are not paying income tax. 
3. The student must be studying in 12th standard

Dr.Hargobind Khurana scholarship scheme

1. Government school students and students of Adarsh school, who have scored a minimum of 80% in the 10th standard PSEB exam can apply and avail of this scholarship

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna

1. This scholarship is available for students of standard 11th, 12th, and 1st year undergraduate students who are studying a basic science course. The student can apply for KVPY exam subject if they have other eligibility conditions

Documents required for Punjab scholarship 2023

Following is a brief list of the documents which are necessary for the Punjab Scholarship 2023.

Steps to register for the Punjab scholarship 2023

• To apply for the Punjab scholarship 2023, first students need to register themselves on the official website – punjabscholarships.gov.in.
• On the scholarship’s website go on the homepage and find the student registration link, click on it and a registration link for the Punjab scholarship will open. 
• Enter the required details for registration, the student’s basic details will be asked like name, contact number, address, and other such details. 
• The student will have to fill a captcha code for verification and then submit the form.
• Post submission the student will get their login id details, students should note their id and password as it is very important. 

Steps to login into the Punjab scholarship 2023 portal and filling the scholarship form

• After the student has successfully registered themself on the scholarship portal, the student should find the login button for the scholarship registration. 
• Now enter the id and password the student has received after the registration for logging in.
• Next, fill the verification captcha and then click on the login button
• The student’s Punjab scholarship dashboard for login will open
• Find the apply online button, the application form for the Punjab scholarship 2023 will open.
• The student will be asked to fill the details of their school/ college and select the scholarship scheme they want to apply for.
• The student will be asked to fill details of their current and previous academic year.

Punjab Scholarship 2023 Renewal

The previous year students of Punjab Scholarship does not need to register again, they can directly use their last years scholarship login information and then they can fill Punjab scholarships 2023 form to apply for renewal of their scholarship.

The students must remember the login ID and the password to log in to the website. Every student has been allotted a unique ID and password to avoid duplicates. The students can change the password also as per their convenience.
