David Schwimmer met Stephen Colbert, another young student on the verge of greatness, at Northwestern University.

When he appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2016, Colbert revealed that he and Schwimmer had not only attended college together but had also performed together. On The Late Show, Colbert reminded Schwimmer,

“You and I were in the same improv group.”
