In his NFL debut vs. Washington on October 2, 2017 Butker converted 26-, 32- and 43-yard field goals.

His 43-yard field goal gave the Chiefs a 23-20 lead with four seconds left on the clock, sealing the game.

Originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick (233rd overall) by the Carolina Panthers in the 2017 NFL Draft.
