Jisshu Ujjwal Sengupta is an Indian actor, producer, television presenter and anchor who is known for acting in Bengali, Hindi and Telugu films. He was born on 15th March 1977 in Kolkata, West Bengal to Ujjwal and Mukta Sengupta. He studied at the Julian Day School. He graduated from Heramba Chandra College in Economics.
He started his career in an advertising agency.
Jisshu made his acting debut with the television serial Mahaprabhu. His performance received positive reviews from the audience and was critically acclaimed. In 2011 he appeared in another Bengali TV serial, Aparajito. He also anchored several Bengali TV reality shows, such as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Gaane Gaane Tomar Mone, Jhalak Dikhhla Ja, Super Singer, Super Singer Junior, Hasiwala and Company and Egiye Bangla.
