Ranganathan Madhavan is an Indian actor, writer, director and producer who is known for acting in Tamil and Hindi films. He was born on 1st June 1970 in Jamshedpur, Bihar, India.

Madhavan started his acting career with the TV show Yule Love Stories in 1993. In that year, he also appeared in another TV show Banegi Apni Baat.

In 1995, he appeared in four TV shows, A Mouthful Sky, Aarohan, Badalte Rishytey and Suhana Safar.

In 1996, Madhavan made his film debut with an uncredited role in the Hindi film Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin. In that year, he appeared in several other TV shows, such as Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, Hum Dono, and Aahat.
