E-challan launched in Chandigarh, It is a pan-India project of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways developed by the NIC. E challan system is all operative through an android app with covering all major functionalities of the traffic enforcement system. Now traffic police can go digital by all means like issuance of traffic e-challan, on spot cashless payment, real-time excess of Vahan and Sarathi database.
With this E-challan system, Traffic police have access to previous records of every vehicle and they can verify any documents with DigiLocker.
With the launch of e-challan in Chandigarh city, motorists will be able to pay traffic challan at-the-spot using online payment gateway.
