Most of the highways in Punjab & Haryana blocked by Farmers, Bharat Bandh Begins

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella body of over 40 farm unions, is leading the 6 am-4pm protest today 27th September in India. Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has said they will not allow movement on some sections of national highways. This morning, Punjab-Chandigarh, Punjab-Haryana, Punjab-Delhi, Delhi-Meerut Expressway was found blocked by our Correspondents at e akhabaar.

Farmer organisations in Punjab, Haryana and UP have called a “Bharat Bandh” today as part of their long protest seeking withdrawal of three farm laws that they allege will give power to private firms to take over the agriculture sector in India.

Our Chief editor Mukesh kapoor found Government and private offices, educational and other institutions, shops, industries and commercial establishments closed in the Punjab area. Emergency vehicles allowed and Kisaan at protest allowing them to move from one place to another.

Farmers have also blocked the Shambhu border between Punjab and Haryana.
