Kannur Lokesh Rahul aka KL Rahul was born and raised in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India. Rahul finishing his high school at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) English Medium School and pre-university at St. Aloysius College. KL Rahul made his 1st-class cricket debut for Karnataka in the year 2010–11 season. In the same season, Lokesh Rahul represented his country (India) in the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup (CWC), scoring a total of 143 runs in the tournament. Kannur Lokesh Rahul made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the year 2013, for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
