The famous Kannada poet, playwright, and Dalit activist, Siddalingaiah ( popularly known as “Dalita Kavi”), has passed away at the age of 67. he was suffering from Covid-19 related ailments.
Siddalingaiah was one of Karnataka’s first prominent Dalit poets.
- he played an important role in Kannada by launching the Dalit-Bandaya literary movement. he also founded the Dalit Sangharsh Samiti in the state.
Noted Indian Neurologist Dr. Ashok Panagariya dies at 71
The noted neurologist, medical researcher, and academic, Dr. Ashok Panagariya, has passed away at the age of 71. he was suffering from COVID-19 complications.
- He was known for his research on nerve cells and neuromyotonia. he also served as Vice-Chancellor of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, and a member of the Planning Board of the Government of Rajasthan.
- He was honored with Dr. B. C. Roy Award and Padma Shri in 2014.
Padma Shri Awardee Eminent Environmentalist Radhamohan dies
The famous Economist and Environmentalist and Padma Shri awardee Prof Radhamohan Ji have passed away at the age of 78.
- He also served as information commissioner of Odisha and late, served as a lecturer of Economics in different colleges in Odisha.
- He was honored with Padma Shri Award in 2023 for their contribution to the agriculture sector.
