The Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship is an initiative of the London Metropolitan University that aims at benefiting the students of India exclusively who to desire and wish to pursue the higher education from abroad. This scholarship is meant for one student exclusively. Every year this scholarship is given out to one deserving candidate and then supports that student’s entire tuition fee that is required for him to pursue his master’s degree at the London Metropolitan University. Along with covering the complete fee of one student, the scholarship also has the facility of covering 50% tuition fee of two other students of India. The candidate for the scholarship as selected on the basis of their merits. There are various postgraduate fields of study for which the students are given the scholarship.

A scholarship program for the Nepali candidates who are regular students of class XI although the candidates need proof by the principal that they are from the XI class student of the school. The candidates need to score at least 60℅ marks into the school previous academics of class 10th. 

For being eligible for the scholarship programme the candidates need to be a student of Nepal and a permanent citizens of Nepal. 

Also, physically challenged people can take advantage of this scholarship program. There is an additional way for the candidates who are physically challenged to apply for this scholarship programme by the candidates. 

The Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship is given on basis of merit. If you are opting for education in any one of the below-given streams for a postgraduate degree, then you are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship is given if you are studying in the streams given below. No other streams are included in the scholarship.

The eligibility criteria for the Mahatma Gandhi University:

the Mahatma Gandhi University is offered to a student who has been excellent in academic and has been meritorious throughout his schooling and then in his undergraduate as well. However, there are certain criteria that needs to be fulfilled by the student in order to become eligible for the scholarship. Those are:

• The candidate needs necessary to be a citizen of India.
• The candidate must have at least the score of 80% in there class 10th examination from any board. In case the candidate is from CBSE board then his CGPA must be 8.4 and above.
• The candidate must have a score of atleast 80% in their class 12th examination from any board.
• In order to become eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must have a first class bachelor’s degree from a renowned and recognised University of India.
• Score of minimum 7.5 band in IELTS is necessary for the candidate.
• The candidate need to have an outstanding personality which demonstrates not only his leadership qualities but also his intention of bringing about a change in the society.

The system of helping the student with cash is not followed in the Mahatma Gandhi scholarship rather a system of fee waiving is followed. There are two categories of fee waivers that are covered under the scholarship:

• The complete tuition fee of one of the student it who wishes to pursue his master’s degree at the London Metropolitan University is paid through the scholarship and the candidate is chosen based on his or her merit.
• Other than this, 50% tuition fee of two other Indian students pursuing masters degree at the London Metropolitan University is paid through this scholarship and the candidate here also is chosen based on his or her merit.
