KVS Admissions Eligibility 2023
The eligibility criteria for Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2023-24 is as follows:
- The child must be 5 years old as of 31st March 2023 in the academic year in which admissions sought for Class I (Child born on 1st April should also be considered).
- The maximum age can be relaxed for a disabled candidate.
- There is no age restriction in age for a candidate applying for the class 8th.
- (ii) Different minimum and maximum ages are required for admissions in different classes. They are:

Relaxation in terms of Seats

How to Apply for Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2023
- Interested candidates may apply online for admission through the official website.
- Open Online Application form
- Choose Nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya
- Fill in the Basic Details of Candidates (parents Name, Aadhar if Available, Blood Group, Age, Address, etc)
- After the application, take a print of the application form.

KVS Admission 2023 Application Fee

- There is no application fee for the Application form.
- Applicants can collect the application form from the school principal free of cost.
Note: – Admission secured on the basis of wrong certificate shall be cancelled by the principal and no appeal against the action of the Princpal shall be entertained.
Required Documents For Class 1
Check the list of the following credentials which are required at the time of admission-
- Birth Certificate (Age proof) for Class-I.
- Evidence of relationship for Grandchildren of PSU employees and Members of Parliament.
- Evidence of relationship for Grandchildren of KVS employees.
- Proof of residence
- Category official document (SC/ST/EWS/OBC/BPL)
- Official document of disability/handicapped
- Certificate of retirement for uniformed defense employees.
Admission in Class 9th
KVS Department will be organizing the Admission Test for admission in Class 9th. Candidates can get admission on the basis of merit list category-wise.
- In the admission test questions will be asked from various subjects like Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, and Science.
- Question Paper will be of 100 Marks and 20 Marks for each subject.
- The duration of the admission test is 03 Hours.
- Candidates must score 33% marks to qualify for the test and SC / ST / Divyang category candidates have to secure 25% Marks.
Class 11th Admission
Admission to Class XI will be based on average marks scored in Class 10th Board Exams for Science, Commerce, Arts Stream.
- For Science Stream – Minimum 60% Marks
- For Commerce Stream – Minimum of 55% Marks
- Humanities – All students who passed the Class 10th Examination.
