Varun Dhawan is an Indian actor who is known for acting in Hindi films. He was born on 24^th April 1987 in Mumbai to David and Karuna Dhawan. His father is a famous film director. He has an elder brother, Rohit Dhawan. Anil Dhawan is his uncle. He completed his schooling at Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai. He also studied and completed his HSC education at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. Then, he completed his graduation in Business Management from Nottingham Trent University, England. To learn acting skills, he joined Barry John’s Acting School.

He started his career as an assistant director in the Bollywood film My Name is Khan in 2010.

He made his acting debut in 2012 with the Bollywood film Student of the Year. His acting received several positive reviews. He also has several nominations including Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance.

In 2014, he appeared in two films, Main Tera Hero and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. His performance received mixed reviews.

In 2015, he starred in three films, Badlapur, ABCD 2, and Dilwale. His performance in Badlapur was highly praised and critically acclaimed. He even won two awards in the Most Entertaining Actor Category and a nomination for Filmfare Award in the Best Actor category. But he received mixed reviews for his other two films.
