MAT 2023 online registration process has been commenced now. All India Management Association (AIMA) will conduct the Management Aptitude Test 2023 (MAT 2023). This test will be conducted to screen the candidates for admission into MBA and other Management courses. The MAT scores are accepted by more than 600 B-Schools across India to provide admission to the aspiring candidates. MAT is a very prestigious exam and it is expected that a lot of candidates are going to apply and appear for this exam. The candidates looking to appear for MAT 2023 need to fill and submit the application form in online mode.

The MAT exam is conducted four times in a year. The interested candidates can appear for MAT 2023 in the month of February, May, September or December as per their convenience. The application form for the different exam cycles will be released separately.

Major Highlights for MAT 2023

  • The application form of MAT exam will be available only in online mode through the official website. The candidates should not send the hard copy of the application form to AIMA office.
  • The exam will be conducted in both Paper Based Test (PBT) and Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. A candidate can opt for PBT, CBT or both PBT & CBT.
  • Aspirants have to select the institutes for admission while submitting the application form. Candidates who will opt for PBT or CBT can submit up to 5 choices of institutes. On the other hand, if a candidate opts for both PBT and CBT can choose up to 7 institutes for admission.
  • It is recommended that the candidate must check the recognition/ approval status of the institute before applying.
  • The candidates should check the eligibility criteria carefully before submitting the application form. It is important because once the application fee is submitted it will not be refunded under any circumstances.

MAT 2023 Important Dates

MAT 2023 exam will be conducted in four exam cycles i.e. February, May, September and December. The tentative schedule for february exam cycle is given below:

Note: The Paper Based Test (PBT) and Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted separately on different dates.

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of the MAT 2023 exam will be as follows:

  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted in both online (Computer Based Test) and offline (Paper Based Test) mode. The candidates can apply for Paper Based Test, Computer Based Test or both.
  • Total Number of Question: 200
  • Time Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Sections: 5 ( Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Indian & Global Environment)
  • Marking Scheme: All questions will carry equal marks and there is negative marking for an incorrect answer.

MAT Application Form 2023

  • The candidates looking to apply for MAT 2023 exam need to register themselves online through the official website. The official website for MAT exam is www.mat.aima.in.
  • At the time of filling the application form, the candidates have to enter all the required academic and personal details. Some of the details that the candidates have to provide are Name, Father Name, Date of birth, Educational qualification, gender, phone number, address etc.
  • In addition to the details, the candidates have to upload the scanned copy of their photograph and signature in the prescribed format. The file format of the uploaded documents should be .jpg or .jpeg. The size of the document should be as follow:
    • Photograph: 40 KB to 100 KB
    • Signature: 10 KB to 40 KB.
  • It is recommended that the candidates should enter only the authentic details in the application form. Submitting false or incorrect information can result in rejection of the application form.
  • After submitting the application form, the candidates have to submit the required application fee.
  • The candidates should keep a print out of the submitted application form along with the fee receipt for future requirements. However, there is no need to send this print out to the AIMA office.

Application Fee

  • An application form will not be considered valid without submitting the application fee. The application fee for MAT 2023 exam will be as follows:
    • For Paper-Based Test(PBT): Rs. 1550/-
    • For Computer Based Test (CBT): Rs. 1550/-
    • Both PBT and CBT: Rs. 2650/-
  • A candidate can pay the application fee online by using a credit card/ debit card (ATM Card) or internet banking.

Eligibility Criteria for MAT 2023

It is very important that the candidates check the eligibility criteria before submitting the online application form.

  • The aspirant needs to be a graduate in any field in order to apply for the MAT 2023 exam.
  • The students who are going to appear for the final year exam of graduation in the year 2023 can also apply.
  • Please note that some institutes may have their additional eligibility criteria for admission as well. That’s why it is recommended that the candidates should also check the eligibility of the particular institute for which they are looking to apply.

Admit Card

  • The admit card of the candidates will be made available online through the official website.
  • Candidates can download their admit card from the official website by providing their details such application number, date of birth etc.
  • All the necessary details regarding the MAT 2023 exam such exam date, exam time, venue etc. will be mentioned on the admit card.
  • The admit card will contain two parts. One part will be returned to the candidates by invigilator after signing it.
  • No candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam without an admit card or without a valid ID proof.
  • Please note that the authorities will not send admit card to any candidate via post or email.

Result

  • After conducting the exam, the AIMA will declare result in online mode through the official website.
  • The candidates can download their scorecard by providing their roll number.
  • The scorecard of MAT 2023 will remain valid only for one year.
  • After the declaration of result, the candidates need to get in touch with the college in which they are looking for admission. Some institutes may also conduct further admission tests such as PI/ GD.
