NEHU Admission 2023: North-Eastern Hill University is located in Shillong, Meghalaya. This university was set up in 1973 by an act of Parliament, and it is also affiliated with UGC. The university has mainly 2 campuses. There is a campus in Shillong, at Mawkynroh, and others in Chandmari, Tura. It has been given a 4-star rating and an “A” grade by NAAC. It has 66 undergraduate colleges and 8 technical academies on its list as a partner. Students can take classes at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma levels at this university. The NEHU University accepts admission for Indian and International students. It has an ongoing admission for professional courses. Professional Courses: BALLB(Hons), BTech, BTech Lateral Entry, BArch, MTech, MBA, MBA Service Management, MBA Agriculture Business, MBA Food Technology, MCA, MTTM and Master of Science (Horticulture).

Things to keep in mind when filling out the International admission form

• Fill the blanks with Block letters.
• The transcripts, certificates and degrees submitted must all be English.
• Paste your passport size photos, do not staple them with pins or staples.  

The university announced that the entrance is based on scores from entrance examinations. The university accepts JEE Main for BTech students and MAT for MBA students. B.Arch students must pass the NATA examination, and M.tech students must pass GATE tests. All the students who do not have entrance examination scorecards must sit for an entrance examination from the university.

Registration Fee: The entry fee for the general category is INR 800 and INR 400 for the special category. International students check their admission fee from the university help desk.

• Applicants should visit the official website of Northeastern Hill University to apply for the Ph.D. program.
• To proceed with the application process, click on the entry form.
• After that, fill in all of the required information, such as your name, date of birth, previous schooling, email address, and so on. (Make sure you are using an up-to-date email ID as it is crucial for the whole process.)
• Next, activate your login credentials and select your preferred course.
• Then, as required, upload scanned copies of your previous grade sheets, certificates, passport photos, signature, proof of address, and other required documents.
• After completing the application form, check it again for any errors.
• As a final measure, applicants must pay an entry fee of INR 500 (for the general category) and INR 250 (for the SC / ST category) via HDFC and SBI Bank or a Net Banking debit or credit card.

The purposes of the University shall be to distribute and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research amenities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay special attention to the development of the social and financial conditions and welfare of the persons of the hill areas of the North-Eastern region, and, in particular, their intellectual, academic and cultural advancement. North-Eastern Hill University was set up by an Act of Parliament and notified on 19th July 1973. the University Scientific Instruction Centre, a building for the Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre, and Guest House-cum-Seminar Complex, a complex of buildings for the science departments and with our own electricity and water supply system in place, the campus took the visible shape of an attractive University in the making.
