Eligibility Criteria for Periyar University MPhil and PhD Admission 2023

• Candidates should have Passed Master Degree with a minimum 55% of marks or an equivalent grade.
• For the candidates belonging to SC/ST community and those who have qualified for the Master’s degree before 19th September 1991 the minimum eligibility marks shall be 50% in their Master’s degree.
• The Candidates who are studying Post Graduate Programs and cleared all papers up to III Semester are eligible to apply for MPhil/PhD Program.
• NET/SET/GATE qualified need not apply for the Common Entrance test.

B.Ed. 2 Years Graduation in any discipline


M.Ed. B.Ed./ B.A., B.Ed/B.Sc. B.Ed./B.EI.Ed./D.EI.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% of marks/ For SC/ST Communities 45% Marks

MA Bachelor’s degree in Tamil


M.Com B.Com or B.Com (CA) or Any Degree with Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting / Management Accounting


MBA Any Degree with a minimum of 50% Marks and TANCET 2015 / MAT 2015 / CAT 2015 or any other equivalent admission test score. Group discussion and Personal Interview.


M.Phil. M.Sc Biochemistry with 55% of marks.


Ph.D. M.Sc & M.Phil Biochemistry with 55% of marks.
