HOW CAN STUDENTS BECAME ELIGIBLE TO TAKE ADMISSION IN INIDNA MARITIME UNIVERSITY 2023

Candidates have to face an entrance exam which is conducted by the university for their students. This entrance exam is knoof course known as IMU CET. For every student who wants to take admission in Indian Maritime University in any UG course ( except BBA) PG, diplomatic course, or every type of research course.

  • University of course provides entrance exams for post-graduation or research program students.
  • Candidates should double-check their eligibility. In like manner the university will not apply the form of those who are not eligible for entrance exams.
  • Candidate should get good marks more than 50% into their 10th standard exams.
  • There is a various requirement for different courses.
  • The age limit is mandatory between 17 to 25 for the general caste and the OBC/ST/SC. There is a relief of 5 years into their age.

Different course need different eligibility: If candidates want to take admission in B.TECH (Marine engineering )

  • Prior to applying for the course of BTECH candidate should have own three-year diploma in Marine/Mechnical/ Electrical and electronic engineering. Together with should have gained at least 55% marks. Along with is should be done from a recognized university.
  • The candidate should aof course gain more than 50% marks in their academic English in the 10th and 12th grades.
  • Four years diploma in shipbuilding will of course open the door of your eligibility. It is mandatory to have at least 50 % marks into your 10th and 12th stranded.

Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry Admission to BTech ( In Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering)

  • If a candidate wants to take admission in IInd year :
  • To take care of age is must in prior to taking admission. As there is an age limit by the university for the students, which is around 18 to 26 for this course.
  • Time matters a lot in this course. Along with candidate should have done their one year course into a stipulated time.
  • The diploma is mandatory by the candidate in Ship Building. Together with Engineering from the Institute of Ship Building Technology. This university is in Goa or candidate can also do diploma Diploma in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from the well known AMET University.
  • The admission is only made for the second year onto the base of candidates’ first year diploma course and marks they obtained.

IF CANDIDATES WANTS TO TAKE ADMISSION IN the THIRD YEAR, THEN THEY MUST HAVE TO FOLLOW :

  • 60% is mandatory in the BSC course, which should be done in shipbuilding and repairing.
  • Percentage and age are very mandatory age limits should be 19-27 for admission.

Candidates who are seeking admission in marine courses such as; B.Tech, B.Sc, MBA first have to qualify the common admission entrance test and the test will be conducted in two batches because of maintaining social distancing norms. Some seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates. Application fee for General category candidates is Rs. 200/- and for SC/ST candidates is Rs. 150/-
