Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University is located in Jammu and Kashmir. It is a state university. BGSBU Eligibility criteria for different courses: 

1. Students who are willing to pursue a bachelor’s degree should have completed their 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination study in the relevant subject from a recognized board. 
2. Students must have a bachelor’s degree from a renowned university with an aggregate of 50% of marks or its equivalent grade to pursue B.ed. 
3. If the candidates wish to acquire a postgraduate degree then they must have completed the bachelor’s degree in that field. 
4. Admissions will be done on the basis of merit as well as the entrance examination in the ratio of 7:3. 
5. For M.Phil and Ph.D candidates should have done the bachelors degree and should have an aggregate of 55% in the respective field from a renowned university. 
6. For the students who will be pursuing MBA from this university must have given CMAT/MAT/CAT. These marks will be considered along with the GD-PI. 
7. For Ph.D and M.Phil there will be a written test along with the presentation and interview round. 

Reservation criteria of the BGSBU university

1. For permanent residents of Rajouri and poonch districts is 25%. 
2. For scheduled Tribes The reservation is of 09%. 
3. For scheduled caste it is 08%. 
4. For other backward areas it is 05%.
