The Cluster University of Srinagar has 5 colleges spread in the city and was established in 2016 under the Jammu and Srinagar Cluster Universities act. The university offers many courses in undergrad and postgrad including research, management, and commerce degrees. Out of the 5 colleges in the university one of them is a women’s college.

The resources of five current colleges—Amar Singh College, Sri Pratap College, Govt. College for Women, M. A. Road, Govt. Degree College, Bemina, and Govt. College of Education—were combined to form the Cluster University of Srinagar (CUS). These five Cluster University member colleges have enough academic, physical, and technical infrastructure, and CUS’s goal is to guide them into more prestigious institutions of higher learning.

The university has well developed labs and almost all the equipment for every experiment. The university has wi-fi and a very good library. The food served in the mess is very good. The university supports games. The university also has canteen which serves hygienic food at reasonable rate.

This university provides its education methods in different ways, also they provide their education in those fields which can develop for career improvement apart from this the admission procedure very simple and easy, here students can change their career growth in the right fields and they can learn other curriculum activities.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria vary according to the courses offered and the college.

Shri Pratap College:

Sri Pratap College is also known as SP College. It is a professional institute in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir. The college is considered the oldest higher education institute located in Jammu and Kashmir.

Bio-chemistry – One needs to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Biology, Bio-Chemistry, or Chemistry as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Botany – One needs to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Biology as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Chemistry – One needs to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Chemistry as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Environmental Science – One needs to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Medical Science or Earth Science as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Geography – One needs to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Science or Arts (including Geography) as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Information Technology – One needs to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Mathematics as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Physics – One needs to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Physics as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Zoology – One needs to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Science with Biology as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Amar Singh College:

Amar Singh College is situated in Srinagar, Kashmir. Amar Singh College is considered as the second oldest college in the Kashmir Valley after Sri Pratap College.

Economics, English, History, and Commerce – One need to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards in any stream and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

Govt. College for Women, Srinagar: 

Computer Applications, English, and Journalism and Mass Communication – One need to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards with Mathematics as a subject and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

AAA Memorial College:

Business Administration, Commerce, History and Political Science – One need to get 45% aggregate in their 10+2 boards in any stream and it’s 40% aggregate for applicants with reservation.

The candidate should bring along the following documents at the time of admission. The documents must be original and authentic.

For some courses, direct admission is given but for some courses, an entrance exam score is necessary. The student must read the eligibility criteria before applying.

Cluster University of Srinagar Online Application 2022

The admission process is done through two tests of 50 marks each, one is General Aptitude test (MCQ with 20 General English questions, 20 General Reasoning questions, and 10 Mathematics questions) and the other one is a subject-based test (50 MCQ from the subjects one had in 10+2 boards.). The candidate has to pay 400 rupees for the General Aptitude test and another 400 per subject for the subject-based test.

One can apply for the admission tests on the official university website, you can download the admit card from the official website www.cusrinagar.edu.in, after filling the application (which will cost 100 rupees), you need to download the admit card within the given time limit, you will need the admit card for the whole admission process i.e. the test and the counseling session.

Documents Requirements:

The candidates must keep these documents handy while filling the admission form of Cluster University of Srinagar. These documents must be original and correct. The information entered in the application form and the documents must resemble each other.

Important Note:

Reservation Policy will be followed as per the University and State Government rules and regulations.

Students need not to submit the hardcopy of the downloaded application form at the University Office, only they need to keep it with them for future reference.

Verification of documents will be made at any point of time during the admission process. The admission will be rejected if it is found that the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria or mislead the information provided by them.

Note: For people who have late results, or have dropped for a year or two need to hand in the application personally.

• Cluster University of Srinagar has the Zero tolerance Policy of any kind of Ragging.
• It violates the discipline of this Institute and adversely affects the standard of higher education.
• If any candidate is found to indulge in Ragging then the University will take severe action against that student. The admission of that student shall be cancelled and expelled from the University
• Important instructions are made available to the students in the form of an information brochure. The students must complete the admission process properly by following the given instructions.
