Punjab Education Minister: No decision yet on reopening schools

There are rumors about schools and college re opening from 15 October. Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla clarified in his statement that the Punjab government had not taken any decision yet regarding the opening of schools in the state.

He said the Education Department had given its suggestions to the Home Department following its letter regarding reopening of schools. The minister Vijay Inder Singla said the final decision regarding reopening of schools in Punjab would be taken by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh after taking account all current event s and precautions for the safety of students.

The Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Affairs and Justice, had been informed about the standard operating procedures (SOPs), which could be considered regarding opening of the schools in the Punjab state.

He Adds up, There are possibilities that schools could start functioning with only students from Classes IX to XII for three hours a day.
