मातु लक्ष्मी करि कृपा, करो हृदय में वास।

मनोकामना सिद्ध करि, परुवहु मेरी आस॥

यही मोर अरदास, हाथ जोड़ विनती करुं।

सब विधि करौ सुवास, जय जननि जगदम्बिका॥

सिन्धु सुता मैं सुमिरौ तोही। ज्ञान, बुद्धि, विद्या दो मोही॥

तुम समान नहिं कोई उपकारी। सब विधि पुरवहु आस हमारी॥

जय जय जगत जननि जगदम्बा। सबकी तुम ही हो अवलम्बा॥

तुम ही हो सब घट घट वासी। विनती यही हमारी खासी॥

जगजननी जय सिन्धु कुमारी। दीनन की तुम हो हितकारी॥

विनवौं नित्य तुमहिं महारानी। कृपा करौ जग जननि भवानी॥

केहि विधि स्तुति करौं तिहारी। सुधि लीजै अपराध बिसारी॥

कृपा दृष्टि चितववो मम ओरी। जगजननी विनती सुन मोरी॥

ज्ञान बुद्धि जय सुख की दाता। संकट हरो हमारी माता॥

क्षीरसिन्धु जब विष्णु मथायो। चौदह रत्न सिन्धु में पायो॥

चौदह रत्न में तुम सुखरासी। सेवा कियो प्रभु बनि दासी॥

जब जब जन्म जहां प्रभु लीन्हा। रुप बदल तहं सेवा कीन्हा॥

स्वयं विष्णु जब नर तनु धारा। लीन्हेउ अवधपुरी अवतारा॥

तब तुम प्रगट जनकपुर माहीं। सेवा कियो हृदय पुलकाहीं॥

अपनाया तोहि अन्तर्यामी। विश्व विदित त्रिभुवन की स्वामी॥

तुम सम प्रबल शक्ति नहीं आनी। कहं लौ महिमा कहौं बखानी॥

मन क्रम वचन करै सेवकाई। मन इच्छित वाञ्छित फल पाई॥

तजि छल कपट और चतुराई। पूजहिं विविध भांति मनलाई॥

और हाल मैं कहौं बुझाई। जो यह पाठ करै मन लाई॥

ताको कोई कष्ट नोई। मन इच्छित पावै फल सोई॥

त्राहि त्राहि जय दुःख निवारिणि। त्रिविध ताप भव बन्धन हारिणी॥

जो चालीसा पढ़ै पढ़ावै। ध्यान लगाकर सुनै सुनावै॥

ताकौ कोई न रोग सतावै। पुत्र आदि धन सम्पत्ति पावै॥

पुत्रहीन अरु सम्पति हीना। अन्ध बधिर कोढ़ी अति दीना॥

विप्र बोलाय कै पाठ करावै। शंका दिल में कभी न लावै॥

पाठ करावै दिन चालीसा। ता पर कृपा करैं गौरीसा॥

सुख सम्पत्ति बहुत सी पावै। कमी नहीं काहू की आवै॥

बारह मास करै जो पूजा। तेहि सम धन्य और नहिं दूजा॥

प्रतिदिन पाठ करै मन माही। उन सम कोइ जग में कहुं नाहीं॥

बहुविधि क्या मैं करौं बड़ाई। लेय परीक्षा ध्यान लगाई॥

करि विश्वास करै व्रत नेमा। होय सिद्ध उपजै उर प्रेमा॥

जय जय जय लक्ष्मी भवानी। सब में व्यापित हो गुण खानी॥

तुम्हरो तेज प्रबल जग माहीं। तुम सम कोउ दयालु कहुं नाहिं॥

मोहि अनाथ की सुधि अब लीजै। संकट काटि भक्ति मोहि दीजै॥

भूल चूक करि क्षमा हमारी। दर्शन दजै दशा निहारी॥

बिन दर्शन व्याकुल अधिकारी। तुमहि अछत दुःख सहते भारी॥

नहिं मोहिं ज्ञान बुद्धि है तन में। सब जानत हो अपने मन में॥

रुप चतुर्भुज करके धारण। कष्ट मोर अब करहु निवारण॥

केहि प्रकार मैं करौं बड़ाई। ज्ञान बुद्धि मोहि नहिं अधिकाई॥

त्राहि त्राहि दुःख हारिणी, हरो वेगि सब त्रास।

जयति जयति जय लक्ष्मी, करो शत्रु को नाश॥

रामदास धरि ध्यान नित, विनय करत कर जोर।

मातु लक्ष्मी दास पर, करहु दया की कोर॥

देवी लक्ष्मी जी को धन, समृद्धि और वैभव की देवी माना जाता है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि लक्ष्मी जी की नित्य पूजा करने से मनुष्य के जीवन में कभी दरिद्रता नहीं आती है। मां लक्ष्मी को प्रसन्न करने के लिए पढ़ें लक्ष्मी चालीसा, मां लक्ष्मी की चालीसा से दूर होगी दरिद्रता, आर्थिक स्थिति में होगा सुधार । मां लक्ष्मी के पूजन का शुभ दिन शुक्रवार को माना गया है। श्री लक्ष्मी चालीसा की रचना रामदास ने की थी।

हे मां लक्ष्मी दया करके मेरे हृद्य में वास करो हे।

मां मेरी मनोकामनाओं को सिद्ध कर मेरी आशाओं को पूर्ण करो।

Divine Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, kindly reside and stay in my heart (mind).

Please fulfill all the desires in my mind; This is my humble wish.

हे सागर पुत्री मैं आपका ही स्मरण करता/करती हूं, मुझे ज्ञान, बुद्धि और विद्या का दान दो।

आपके समान उपकारी दूसरा कोई नहीं है। हर विधि से हमारी आस पूरी हों ।

Mother Sri Lakshmi, the daughter of Sindhu (ocean), I beg to you; Please grant me wisdom, intelligence, and education.

No one is as helpful to me as you anywhere. Only the Devi as benevolent as you can fulfill our desires.

Jai Jai Jagat Janani Jagadamba। Sabaki Tum Hi Ho Avalamba॥

Tum Hi Ho Sab Ghat Ghat Vaasi । Vinati Yahi Hamari Khaasi॥

हे जगत जननी जगदम्बा आपकी जय हो, आप ही सबको सहारा देने वाली हो, सबकी सहायक हो।

आप ही घट-घट में वास करती हैं, ये हमारी आपसे खास विनती है।

Jagajanani Jai Sindhu Kumari । Dinan ki Tum Ho Hitakari॥

हे संसार को जन्म देने वाली सागर पुत्री आप गरीबों का कल्याण करती हैं।

हे मां महारानी हम हर रोज आपकी विनती करते हैं, हे जगत जननी भवानी, सब पर अपनी कृपा करो।

आपकी स्तुति हम किस प्रकार करें। हे मां हमारे अपराधों को भुलाकर हमारी सुध लें।

मुझ पर अपनी कृपा दृष्टि रखते हुए हे जग जननी, मेरी विनती सुन लीजिये।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, in what way can I praise your splendor? As I am only human, I have limitations, please forgive my deficiencies. Please bestow with us the blessing of your sight on us, the mother of the world and kindly take us under your protective shelter.

Gyan Buddhi Jai Sukh Ki Data । Sankat Haro Hamari Mata॥

Kshirasindhu Jab Vishnu Mathayo । Chaudah Ratna Sindhu Mein Payo॥

आप ज्ञान, बुद्धि व सुख प्रदान करने वाली हैं, आपकी जय हो, हे मां हमारे संकटों का हरण करो।

जब भगवान विष्णु ने दुध के सागर में मंथन करवाया तो उसमें से चौदह रत्न प्राप्त हुए।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, you are the benevolent provider of wisdom, intelligence, success, and happiness. Oh our mother, you destroy our troubles.

Sri mahavishnu had ordered the churning of the milky ocean, and you were considered as one of the sacred fourteen ornaments and possessed.

Chaudah Ratna Mein Tum Sukharasi । Seva Kiyo Prabu Bani Dasi॥

Jab Jab Janma Jahan Prabhu Linha । Roop Badal Tahan Seva Kinha॥

हे सुखरासी, उन्हीं चौदह रत्नों में से एक आप भी थी जिन्होंने भगवान विष्णु की दासी बन उनकी सेवा की।

जब भी भगवान विष्णु ने जहां भी जन्म लिया अर्थात जब भी भगवान विष्णु ने अवतार लिया

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, you are the most sacred of the fourteen jewels churned out from the milk ocean; Sri Mahavishnu (Prabhu) had retained you, and you are in his devout service.

आपने भी रुप बदलकर उनकी सेवा की। स्वयं भगवान विष्णु ने मानव रुप में जब अयोध्या में जन्म लिया।

तब आप भी जनकपुरी में प्रगट हुई और सेवा कर उनके दिल के करीब रही

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Mahavishnu had incarnated as a human being (Sri Rama) at Ayodhya.

You were also born as Sri Sita at Janakpuri; As Sri Rama’s wife, you have done sacred duties to Sri Rama. The very thought of this brings happiness and contentment to the hearts of your devotees.

Apanaya Tohi Antaryami । Vishva Vidit Tribhuvan Ki Swami॥

Tum Sam Prabal Shakti Nahin Aani । Kahan Lau Mahima Kahaun Bakhani॥

अंतर्यामी भगवान विष्णु ने आपको अपनाया, पूरा विश्व जानता है कि आप ही तीनों लोकों की स्वामी हैं।

आपके समान और कोई दूसरी शक्ति नहीं आ सकती। आपकी महिमा का कितना ही बखान करें लेकिन वह कहने में नहीं आ सकता अर्थात आपकी महिमा अकथ है।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Mahavishnu, the all-knowing and the lord of three worlds (earth, above the earth and beneath earth had embraced you in his heart as his equal.

None of us can ascertain or estimate your divine power, and your gracefulness and its magnificence can never be described by anyone.

Taji Chhal Kapat Aur Chaturai । Pujahin Vividh Bhanti Man Lai॥

जो भी मन, वचन और कर्म से आपका सेवक है, उसके मन की हर इच्छा पूरी होती है।

छल, कपट और चतुराई को तज कर विविध प्रकार से मन लगाकर आपकी पूजा करनी चाहिए।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, I am at yur devout service through thought, deed, and word. Please grant and bless me with the fruits/benefits of my heartful wishes and desires.

To be captivated in your blesses and graces, I shall get rid of all ill thoughts and evil deeds such as deceit, guile, dishonesty, etc. , and pray to you with utmost devotion.

Tako Koi Kashta Noi । Man Ichchhita Pavai Phal Soi॥

इसके अलावा मैं और क्या कहूं, जो भी इस पाठ को मन लगाकर करता है।

उसे कोई कष्ट नहीं मिलता व मनवांछित फल प्राप्त होता है।

Jo Chalisa Pade Padave । Dhyana Lagakar Sunai Sunavai॥

हे दुखों का निवारण करने वाली मां आपकी जय हो, तीनों प्रकार के तापों सहित सारी भव बाधाओं से मुक्ति दिलाती हो अर्थात आप तमाम बंधनों से मुक्त कर मोक्ष प्रदान करती हो।

जो भी चालीसा को पढ़ता है, पढ़ाता है या फिर ध्यान लगाकर सुनता और सुनाता है

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, please protect me! Protect me! You alleviate all my sadness; You quench the three types of ardent desires and relieve us of the bonds of troubles.

Takau Koi Na Rog Satavai । Putra Aadi Dhan Sampatti Pavai॥

Putrahin Aru Sampatti Hina । Andh Badhir Kodhi Ati Dina॥

उसे किसी तरह का रोग नहीं सताता, उसे पुत्र आदि धन संपत्ति भी प्राप्त होती है।

पुत्र एवं संपत्ति हीन हों अथवा अंधा, बहरा, कोढि या फिर बहुत ही गरीब ही क्यों न हो।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, no illness shall afflict to those who recite and listen to this; They shall be provided with children, wealth, and happiness primarily.

Those with no children, no wealth and who are sad, ill, blind or deaf or with severe illness (leper) should pray to you for the alleviation of their sorrows.

Vipra Bolaya Kai Paath Karavai । Shanka Dil Mein Kabhi Na Lavai॥

Paath Karavai Din Chalisa । Ta Par Kripa Karain Gaurisa॥

यदि वह ब्राह्मण को बुलाकर आपका पाठ करवाता है और दिल में किसी भी प्रकार की शंका नहीं रखता अर्थात पूरे विश्वास के साथ पाठ करवाता है।

चालीस दिनों तक पाठ करवाए तो हे मां लक्ष्मी आप उस पर अपनी दया बरसाती हैं।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, such persons, should be associated with learned scholars, clear all their doubts, chant these verses with devotion and worship you with unconditional surrender.

Sukh Sampatti Bahut Si Pavai । Kami Nahin Kaahu Ki Avai॥

Barah Maas Karai Jo Puja । Tehi Sam Dhanya Aur Nahin Duja॥

चालीस दिनों तक आपका पाठ करवाने वाला सुख-समृद्धि व बहुत सी संपत्ती प्राप्त करता है। उसे किसी चीज की कमी महसूस नहीं होती।

जो बारह मास आपकी पूजा करता है, उसके समान धन्य और दूसरा कोई भी नहीं है।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, to those who pray to you devoutly, excellent health and abundant wealth shall be bestowed. None of them shall suffer from any sadness or ailment.

Bahuvidhi Kya Mai Karaun Badai । Leya Pariksha Dhyana Lagai॥

जो मन ही मन हर रोज आपका पाठ करता है, उसके समान भी संसार में कोई नहीं है।

हे मां मैं आपकी क्या बड़ाई करुं, आप अपने भक्तों की परीक्षा भी अच्छे से लेती हैं।

जो भी पूर्ण विश्वास कर नियम से आपके व्रत का पालन करता है, उसके हृदय में प्रेम उपजता है व उसके सारे कार्य सफल होते हैं।

हे मां लक्ष्मी, हे मां भवानी, आपकी जय हो। आप गुणों की खान हैं और सबमें निवास करती हैं।

Mohi Anath Ki Sudhi Ab Lijai । Sankat Kaati Bhakti Mohi Dijai॥

आपका तेज इस संसार में बहुत शक्तिशाली है, आपके समान दयालु और कोई नहीं है।

हे मां, मुझ अनाथ की भी अब सुध ले लीजिये। मेरे संकट को काट कर मुझे आपकी भक्ति का वरदान दें।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, the radiance of your brightness is spread throughout the world; No one is as benevolent and merciful as you.

Please take this orphan as your child under your boundless care and protection; Please remove all our troubles and make us devoted to you always.

Bhul Chuk Kari Kshama Hamari । Darshan Dajai Dasha Nihari॥

Bin Darshan Vyakul Adhikari । Tumahi Achhat Dukh Sahate Bhaari॥

हे मां अगर कोई भूल चूक हमसे हुई हो तो हमें क्षमा कर दें, अपने दर्शन देकर भक्तों को भी एक बार निहार लो मां।

आपके भक्त आपके दर्शनों के बिना बेचैन हैं। आपके रहते हुए भारी कष्ट सह रहे हैं।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, your glory and fame cannot be described enough in this world; Please forgive us. Please provide your darshan, and it dispels our sins.

Nahin Mohin Gyan Buddhi Hai Tan Mein । Sab Janat Ho Apane Man Mein॥

हे मां आप तो सब जानती हैं कि मुझे ज्ञान नहीं हैं, मेरे पास बुद्धि नहीं अर्थात मैं अज्ञानी हूं आप सर्वज्ञ हैं।

अब अपना चतुर्भुज रुप धारण कर मेरे कष्ट का निवारण करो मां।

Mother Sri Mahalakshmi, my intelligence and wisdom desire nothing else but you; All of us beg for your blessings eternally.

Kehi Prakar Main Karaun Badai । Gyan Buddhi Mohin Nahin Adhikai॥

मैं और किस प्रकार से आपकी प्रशंसा करुं इसका ज्ञान व बुद्धि मेरे अधिकार में नहीं है अर्थात आपकी प्रशंसा करना वश की बात नहीं है।
